Q: What makes impactbc.ca different from other healthcare quality improvement websites?
A: Impact BC provides access to healthcare quality improvement information specific to British Columbia. Access to trustworthy information is one of the most important forms of support for healthcare professionals and patients.

For healthcare professionals, Impact BC provides a gateway to local resources and interventions. We hope our website will:

  • Provide local solutions for quality improvements and facilitate ways for BC’s healthcare professionals to improve their practices
  • Create communities of users with common interests
  • Offer opportunities for interaction with experts in the field
  • Help eliminate duplication of information and resources
  • Promote sharing of information, networking and collaboration

The website provides a springboard to trustworthy information on healthcare quality improvement issues. Instead of just using our own published materials on topics of interest to patients and healthcare providers, our editors review existing internet websites and link to a select number of resources. These links have been chosen to assist in your search for helpful and relevant information about quality improvements in healthcare.

Impact BC wants to share knowledge about quality improvement by creating an interactive community where people exchange knowledge and share experiences. Since our goal is to improve BC’s healthcare system, an online resource is a logical means for achieving this goal.
