Learning Community
Welcome to ImpactBC Learning Community.
Our aim is to connect health care professionals to an online community where they can discuss, share and learn together to improve health care in BC. Our learning community currently contains three offerings:
E-Learning
Our e-learning section will offer a variety of courses focused on quality improvement in health care.
The first course on offer is a Quality Improvement Basics course (QI 101). This is comprised of 8 short lessons that introduces the learner to evidence-based quality improvement principles and practices that have achieved:
- better access to health system services
- improved experience for patients, families, and providers
- improved population health at a reasonable cost for the health care system
You can log on, create an account and take the available course(s) at your leisure.

ImpactBC Journal Club
The journal club facilitates a community of learning around quality improvement and gives those who work in health care an opportunity to learn something new, do some good while having fun and learn from the success of others.
We aim to continue to build capacity for quality improvement in BC, discuss ways to apply our knowledge and increase confidence in applying the tools necessary for successful outcomes in the BC health care system.
Supporting Innovation & Improvement Learning Series
This series is designed to build capacity for innovation and improvement in BC's health care system. This exciting opportunity covers many different areas of health care and involves:
- Learning together
- Applying what is learned in your improvement role and in your workplace
- Ongoing support and opportunities for sharing and learning from each other.
