Practice Support Program - Overview

The Practice Support Program assists BC physicians and their clinical staff to implement changes in their practices. Physicians can choose for a menu of options depending on their needs.

The options are organized into learning modules. The recommended learning activities for the majority of the modules include pre-work, learning sessions and action periods.

Learning Activities

Pre-work

Includes any tasks that should be completed prior to attending the first learning session in a specific module.

Learning sessions

Scheduled events where you, other physicians and Medical Office Assistants learn how to implement and maintain the new processes.

Action periods

Each learning session is followed by an action period when you and your staff implement and experiment with the new practice. Help is available from your regional Practice Support Team.

Compensation: Physicians and MOAs will be compensated for their investment in making changes in their practices. Learning Sessions and Action Periods are paid at GP sessional rates; MOA time is compensated at $20/hour as an expense to the GP.
