Collaboratives
A collaborative brings together groups of practitioners from different healthcare organizations to work in a structured way to improve one aspect of the quality of their service.
Collaboratives are designed to achieve dramatic improvements in the quality and outcomes of care in a short period of time by:
- Fostering active learning among improvement teams
- Regularly tracking and communicating results of the improvement efforts - the network of shared learning provides a framework for spreading the improvements to the rest of the health system based on learned best practices
