Patient Registries

Patients with chronic diseases do not always make regular appointments and only visit their physician when an acute problem arises. A patient registry helps remind doctors about these patients, using a summary of patient information to plan, track and deliver comprehensive care.

The Developing Patient Registries module is part of a series designed to improve the management of patients with chronic diseases.

"With the registry, it's more efficient. It's nice to see patients' improved adherence to clinical guidelines, lower hemoglobin levels, and better patient involvement and satisfaction."

Dr. Anis Lakha, North Vancouver

"If you want to achieve a more manageable practice, the registry is the first step. Your practice will become smoother, and you'll have more time to implement open access, group visits, and consultations with specialists."

Dr. George Wray, Saanichton
